Classes

Classes are an additional way to customize your character, besdies just race. Classes might be like an occupation, or a type of history, for your character. Characters can only have one class.

A character with a class will gain a unique class-specific talent. (Characters that do not have this class can not learn the class-specific talent!) The class-specific talent starts at a d6, and can be upgraded when a character levels up just like any other talent.

When a character reaches Level 5, their class gains a new special talent unique to the class! This new talent starts at d6.

A character's class decides the character's Chip Type. When a character fails any roll, they will add this type of chip to the Communal Pile.

Finally, every class has a Chip Bonus Ability- which is an ability that can be activated by spending chips from the Communal Pile. Chips can always be used to add modifiers to Trait Rolls, by any character or the GM, but the Chip Bonus Ability lets players utilize chips in other fashions.

Bog Witch

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Poison Mushroom Bomb: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's body dice, the target creature obtains the POISON status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Festering: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target's creature's body dice, the target creature's current special status will last twice as long, or until a Token of Friendship is spent (or the creature is knocked out.)

Chip Bonus Ability

Antidote: You can spend 3 Body Chips to end the Poisoned, Dazed, Frantic, or Exaughsted statuses from yourself or your allies in touch-range immediately.

Cleric

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Miracle Worker: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's body dice, the target creature gains 4 stamina and loses any curent special status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Sacred Ground: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls larger than a GM-set difficulty, the place where the Cleric is currently standing is considered magical and sacred. Anybody with good intentions who stands in that same, small space in the next hour will gain +2 Stamina, once. Anybody with evil intentions who stands in that same, small space in the next hour will lose 2 Stamina, once. (The larger the space to make sacred, the more difficult this will be!)

Recharge: You can spend 1 Body Chip, 1 Mind Chip, and 1 Charm Chip to heal 1 Stamina for yourself or an ally in touch-range.

Cheerleader

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Rally Cry: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's body dice, the target creature gains the EMPOWERED status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Follow Me Along: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's mind dice, the target creature tempoarirly gains any one of the Cheerleader's current talents (at their dice current value) for 2 usages. After those two usages, the other creature is no longer able to use that "borrowed" talent.

Scholar

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Guidance: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's mind dice, the target creature gains the ENLIGHTENED status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Reverse-Engineer: Once per session, when an opponent uses a talent on you, you can roll this dice to challenge the opponet's talent. If this dice rolls eqaul or higher than the opponet's talent, you temporarily gain the ability to use that talent for 2 usages. After those two usages, you are no longer able to use that "borrowed" talent.

Bard

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Lively Song: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's charm dice, the target creature gains the AWAKENED status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Encore! Encore!: Once per session, you can allow an ally to use a talent that is normally limited to a single use per session again- if this talent dice rolls higher than or equal to the dice of the talent that wants to be used again.

Druid Summoner

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Summon Animal-Friend: If successful (higher roll than difficulty set by GM), an animal-friend local to your current environment will come to aide you. The animal-friend will not leave their current environment, but will help you inside it. You can only have one summoned animal-friend at a time.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Animal-Form: Once per session, you can transform into a specific, non-magical animal for about an hour (or shorter if you so choose.) You keep all your current talents, except Animal-Form, as well as gain a new talent (at the dice-level of Animal-Form) based on the animal you become. (Example: If you transform into a bird, you migth gain the "Fly" talent as long as you are transformed.)

Enchanter

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Spirit Sight : If successful (higher roll than difficulty set by GM), you will magically see a piece of the history of an object you touch.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Magic Effect: Once per session, if your talent dice rolls higher than a GM-set difficulty, a non-magical object you can touch is given a magical effect that is activated when it's held by another living creature for about an hour. The more complex or potent the effect, the more difficult it is to cast.

Examples of Effects: Hot/Cold Sensation (difficulty 4), Repeating a Message (difficulty 4), Glowing (difficulty 4), Catching on Fire (difficulty 6), Levitating or Moves In a Direction (difficulty 6), Heals 2 Stamina Once (difficulty 8)...

Paladin

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Relentless Protector: If your ally takes damage from a creature, you can use this talent- if the roll is equal or higher than the creature's attacking dice, you take the damage instead of the ally and damage the target creature for 1 Stamina.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Holy Shield: Once per session, you may use Holy Shield to summon magical protection for a single ally for one hour. Anytime this ally would take damage, subtract a Holy Shield roll from that potential damage- with a minimum of 0.

Shadow Mage

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Dancing Shadows: You can pull shadows closer to you or a target to hide, or away from a target to make it more visible.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Shadow Form: Once per sesssion, you can flatten yourself into a living shadow for about one hour (or shorter, if you want)! As a shadow, you can still manipulate solid objects you come in contact with, use your talents, as well as move freely and quickly wherever there is darkness and a surface. You can not loose stamina as a shadow. You look like the shadow of your regular self.

Mechanic

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Fix It Up: If successful (higher roll than difficulty set by GM), you will repair any broken or damaged non-magical item to its original usage.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Re-Purpose: If successful (higher roll than difficulty set by GM), you will take any artificial/crafted object and turn it into a make-shift device or other artifical/crafted object of similar size. The "re-purposed" device will only be functional for one hour, and you can only use this talent once per session.

Berserker

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Final Effort: You unlease a powerful attack that does double damage!! After you use this attack, your BODY dice is downgraded 2x (minimum d0) for the next 5 rolls.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Final Fury: When your character reaches 0 Stamina, you can use Final Fury to damage a near-by target for triple the damage before you are knocked out. The target doesn't need to be the creature/reason your character lost 0 Stamina, but does need to be with in range of touch to where you are.

Plague Cleric

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Blood Boone: If this talent dice rolls higher than a target creature's body trait, that creature looses 2 Stamina (minimum 1), and their next dice roll is doubled. This talent can be used on yourself, as well.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Desecrated Ground: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls larger than a GM-set difficulty, the place where the Plague Cleric is currently standing is considered cursed. Any creature that stands in that same space for the next hour (besides the Plague Cleric themselves) will loose 2 Stamina, once, and gain the POISONED status. (The larger the space to make cursed, the more difficult this will be!)

Swindler

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Silver-Tongue: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's mind dice, the target creature gains the DAZED status.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Identity Theft: Once per session, you can convince a character you and your party are important and influential members of thier group-- if this talent rolls higher than their mind trait. When successful, your entire party gains the "esteemed" reputation with this group and the AWAKENED status.

Silence Mage

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Hush!: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's body dice, the target creature is unable to speak or vocalize (or use talents that require speaking/vocalization) for 30 minutes.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Absolute Silence: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls higher than a GM-set difficulty, the Silence Mage can create a bubble where no noise at all can penetrate. This bubble can move with the Silence Mage, or stay in a specific location. Inside, there can be no noise (or use of talents that require noise of any sort.) This effect last for approximatly one hour (or less, if you choose!) The larger the bubble, the higher the difficulty- bubbles that move are also more difficult.

Hex Witch

DESCRIPTION

Numbing Hex: If this talent dice rolls equal or higher than a target creature's target talent dice, the target creature's talent dice is downgraded 1x (minimum d4) for 30 minutes. This ability can only work on talents- not traits like body, mind, or charm!! This talent can only be used once per creature per session.

Clown

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Best Medicine: When you make a friend or ally character laugh with descriptive antics, set aside a "Best Medicine" dice for them. Later, the character can roll that dice and heal that much stamina. (There can only be one "Best Medicine" dice set-aside in a game at at time.)

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Centerstage Distraction: Once per session, if Centerstage Distraction rolls higher than a GM-set difficulty, all enemies within ear-shot of your character can only make rolls (traits or talents) directly against your character (not your allies or anybody else) for one hour. The more enemies to influence, the higher the difficulty. This talent only affects characters who were present when Centerstage Distraction was initiated / began.

Chaperone

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Inseperable: If the inseperable dice rolls higher than a target creatures's charm dice, that creature is unable to be forced away from your character's side, or hidden from your sight and hearing, for 30 minutes.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Friendship Lasers: Once per session, if all of your friends (party) is present, you may spend Tokens of Friendships to harm an enemy. Each Token of Friendship you spend will reduce the enemy's stamina by one roll of the Friendship Lasers talent, and you can spend up to three at once. (Enemies who are defeated through Friendship Lasers are turned to stone.)

Athlete

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Competitive: 1x Body Upgrade when performing in front of an audience of at least three others, 1x Body Downgrade (Minimum d4) when alone or not being paid attention to.

Additionaly, you may add this dice roll to any roll use for an in-game competition or sport once per session.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Winning Streak: Whenever your character rolls the natural maximum dice value for any trait or talent roll, add a Winning Streak dice-roll to their very next trait or talent roll.

Lucky Charmer

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Silver Lining: When anybody in your prescense rolls a "1", including yourself, you can choose to activate this talent. The character who rolled a 1 can immediatly roll the same check again with a 1x upgraded dice! Your character will roll their highest trait (mind, body, or charm) and subtract a "Silving Lining" dice roll- they will then loose the result in stamina, with a minimum of 1.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Luck Reversal: Whenever anybody in your prescense rolls a natural maximum dice value for any roll, you can choose to activate this talent. The character who rolled the maximum value will roll again with 1x downgraded dice, minimum of d4, and must use the second number for their attempt. Your character will roll their highest trait (mind, body, or charm) and subtract a "Luck Reversal" dice roll- they will then loose the result in stamina, with a minimum of 1.

Puppeteer

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Proxy: Your character has an inanimate creation, that they control and/or pilot, that can serve as their proxy when adventuring! This proxy-form has stamina points equal to the "Proxy" dice value, and can loose stamina like a character. If the Proxy reaches 0 stamina, they are out of commission and will need to be repaired (which takes time- at least until next session!) The Proxy can also have a list of relevant and probable talents, no more talents than the half of the maximum "Proxy" dice value, that can be used by the Proxy only- not by the character who pilots them without their proxy. However, everytime the Proxy uses one of it's talents, it will loose 1 stamina. Characters can only have 1 Proxy.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Puppet Master: Once per session, whenever your character (or their proxy) reduces an inanimate or non-sapient creature to 0 stamina, they can choose to roll the "Puppet Master" dice. If the dice roll is higher than the creature's maximum stamina, the character can take control of the inanimate or non-sapient creature. The creature regains maximum stamina and all it's previous talents, but is now controlled like an additional Proxy. Every time a puppeetered creature uses a talent, they will loose 1 Stamina. If the puppeeteered creature is reduced to 0 Stamina, the spell is broken, and puppeeteered creatures cannot be healed or regain stamina by anymeans. You can only have one puppeteered creature at a time.

Assassin

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Lock-On: Once per session, if this talent dice rolls higher than a targeted creature's Body Dice, you are "locked on" to that creature. If you inflict damage to this creature, the damage gains a +2 modifier, and any dice roll made to see, hear, or locate that creature is upgraded. Even if the "Lock-On" talent fails, it cannot be used for the rest of the session.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Treachery: If your character has a Friendly or Esteemed Reputation with any Faction, you may activate the "Treachery" talent. Any damage done againt members of this factiong gains a +5 modifier, and any dice roll made to see, heear, or locate this faction's members is upgraded 2x. However, your reputation with the faction immediatly becomes "Hostile."

Disco Dancer

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Stayin' Alive: 1x Upgrade on Body Rolls when you have 4 or less Stamina, 1x Downgrade on Body Rolls when you have 5 or more Stamina.

Additionaly, once per session, you can roll the Stayin' Alive talent, in addition to another talent, and add the two together, to resist or lessen damage.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Disco Inferno: This song-based attack will damage any creature- friendly or hostile- who can hear it, as well as leave them with the BURNED status if they take more than 2 damage from Disco Inferno in a single roll!!

Terror Mage

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Jumpscare Boost: Anytime your character scares, startles, or frightens a hostile creature, you can add a Jumpscare Boost dice to your character's next roll made in competition with the frightened targeted creature. This talent can only be used once per creature per session.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Phobia (Umbrella Talent): If this talent dice rolls higher than a creature you can touch's MIND trait, that creature gains the "Weakness" quirk at a d4 for 3 dice rolls, or until they reach 0 Stamina. (The exact type of weakness that is given is decided by the player when they create the character, and can never change.)

Valkyrie

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Rejuvenate: This talent dice is always at "d4" and cannot be upgraded when you level up. Whenever you take damage in a session, this talent dice is upgraded 1x (maximum d100). Once per session, you may roll this talent dice at it's current value- all your party members (except for yourself) heal that much stamina each. After this talent is used, or the session ends, the talent dice resets to d4. After you use this talent, your Body Dice is downgraded 1x (minimum d0.).

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Reckoning: This talent dice is always at "d4" and cannot be upgraded when you level up. Whenever you take damage in a session, this talent dice is upgraded 1x (maximum d100). Once per session, you may roll this talent dice at it's current value- all enemies within 20 feet of you will be attacked for that much damage (although it can be resisted.) After this talent is used, or the session ends, the talent dice resets to d4. After you use this talent, your Body Dice is downgraded 2x (minimum d0.).

Surge Witch

DESCRIPTION

Unique Talent (Lv. 1)

Overcharge: Once per session- choose one of your own talents (besides Overcharge)- the next time you roll this talent in this session, multiply the result by the talents' rolled dice value by half the dice value of Overcharge. You can not use any other talent besides the chosen talent for the rest of the session.

Unique Talent (Lv. 5)

Sacrifical Surge: Once per session- choose one talent of an ally you can touch. The next time this ally rolls this talent dice in the session, multiple the result by half of Sacrificial Surge's dice value. After you use this talent, your Body, Mind, and Charm traits are reduced to d4 for the rest of the session.
